PROJECT MANAGER POSITION:

Commercial Flooring Services is growing again and seeks a full-time qualified Project Manager. We excel in fast-track schedules, technically challenging projects, occupied healthcare renovations. Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management / related field, or equivalent job experience.
• Requires 5+ years of work experience in construction.
• Ability to make decisions that require detailed analysis and investigation with solutions requiring significant original thinking.
• Ability to compare and analyze various systems and related cost impacts.
• Ability to work as a team member and participant in projects that involve or impact the entire company.
• Thinks creatively and meets expedited deadlines.
• Estimating skills.
• Ability to mentally schedule and construct scope from project documents.
• Emphasis on customer service, results, diplomacy, multitasking and priority setting.
• Must possess prior computer program experience with On Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam (preferred), and MS Office Suite.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.

Position Specifications:

Works as part of a team to prepare estimates for construction projects. Evaluates bid specifications and drawings. Ensures that all specifications and requirements are met in order to successfully bid and win projects. Follow-up with subcontractors to ensure that bids are received. Works with Project Management team to follow-up on bids and budgets submitted to general contractors.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Lead hard bid and preconstruction estimates
• Prepare preconstruction estimates for schematic and design development levels of projects
• Meets bid deadline requirements in an accurate and complete manner
• Transmits addenda and other bid information to subcontractors
• Generates detailed scopes of work
• Prepares material quantity takes-offs for scopes of work
• Solicits and obtains material and subcontractor quotes
• Support operations departments during transition and installation
• Identifies and reports errors, ambiguities, and missing information in contract documents, minimizes all exclusions possible
• Performs comprehensive analysis and scoping for bids
• Supports the bid day closing of the estimate
• Submits bid documents to Project Management in a timely manner
• Assists with post-bid analysis
• Completes work on time in a professional and competitive manner
• Reviews job costing with Project Management team
• Produces accurate estimates with regard to risk factors and construction methods
• Solicits and maintains communication and positive relations with clients, vendors, and subcontractors
• Strong management and leadership skills
• Communicates effectively with other members of the team
• Follows company safety policies and procedures
